All Is Quiet, Yo

Everyone I know is getting ready for E3. I don’t have anything to show, but I’m going mainly to be social with friends and ex-coworkers. In WoW still doing MC runs (in one right now!) and drudging through Ony/BWL attunements. And yeah, I made juvenile jokes at work about the Wii like everyone else on the planet.

So yeah, not a lot to read here. I tend to write a lot on planes though, so there should be some interesting stuff next week. Or not!

    Hopefully I can sell enough on Ebay to fund my hotel room for E3. :p I’ve got it over half-way there, honestly, but it’d be nice to not have to pull from my paycheck (tiny as it is).

    I was borderline on maybe buying a Revolution. The controller idea looked cool, not to mention the Nintendo games library online … but no. Not now. Not anything called Wii. Simply put, no way in hell am I going to buy something that I’d be embarassed to ask about new releases for in GameStop.

    Q. What’s a Wiiiiiiii~!?

    A. The sound a lot of money makes as it runs to Microsoft and Sony.

    Now I just have to decide which is more evil, Sony (for the rootkits) or Microsoft (for being Microsoft). It’s kind of hard to decide, but since Microsoft is sort of a diffuse, amorphous evil, and Sony is a specialized, concentrated evil aimed straight at people like me, I guess I’ll be getting an Xbox 360.

    Sad when choosing a next-gen game system comes down to that ….

    It IS sad. Just take a deep breath, wait till all 3 are out and go with the best box for the price. Right now, that ain’t the underpowered, overpriced Xbox 360.

    I don’t care if Nintendo outright calls their box ‘The Gay, Gay Man-Love Machine’ instead of just hinting at it with wiiiiiiii if the price is right, the launch titles are solid, the wand is all it’s hyped up to be, and the downloadable retro-library is easy to use and inexpensive. I’ll be an owner.
