We are tryin ta reel in da Warsong some. Deys gone a little off, not enough Shaman among dem, due ta Hellscream gettin involved wit dem demons. But dey be changin. We got his son helpin out now. But dey jus be one clan among all da orcs.

As fer everytin else, ya criticize da orcs want ta use da land, but is the land "rightfully" the elves? No one else can use it? bah! dat's racism!

Da elves certainly cut down trees an use em in buidings. I'm sure back when dey were buildin dere towns Ashenvale didn't look so pretty. Dere are plenty of wide open spaces without trees there, but it's so old the stumps are gone. How we know the elves didn't raze that land fer dere buildins?

Ashenvale IS a vast untamed wilderness. Have ya seen it? No tamin, except where da elves live. It's ok fer da elves ta tame Ashenvale where dey want ta live, but not da orcs? Da elves only want Ashenvale fer demselves ta use an no one else. All else is jus propaganda. Are we gonna blame da orcs fer havin babies and needin room?

An da warsong area looks NOTINK like where da venture co works. Look at the Venture Co. just to da south of Ashenvale: poison pools of fetid water, smog, garbage everywhere. Jus because you see a lot of cut down trees is NOT da same. One is called poisoning da environment, da udder is called lumberin. Geez.

Oh and don't forget, it was the Night Elves that brought Worgen into da world. Tanks fer dat!

Yunk, I'm getting from the fact that the Orcs talk about taking over Kalimdor for the Horde, including describing Ashenvale as a "Vast Untamed Wilderness" that they must assert their political and spiritual dominance upon (Even if it means killing off the natives), and have claimed (Back in quests that have now been taken out of the game) that the Night Elves were keeping them from what is *rightfully* their's. The part of Ashenvale that's been taken over by the Warsong looks like it's well on it's way to mirroring what the Venture co has done in Stonetalon.

Really, the Rhetoric is pretty obvious if you level a Horde character in the Barrens and Ashenvale and pay attention to the quest text.

...then hit you from behind.

Strictly speaking, that's the safest way, no?

I'll make you a deal. Get Blizzard to put good swords in the game between SSC and KZ that aren't dramatically inferior to daggers and I'll be happy to kill you from the front.

Interlocutron, Keep telling yourself that buddy! Try to assuage your guilt over almost destroying the planet! We noble Horde will be there to rescue your people, then get betrayed and blamed for all your ills again!

Jobrill, where did you get that idea? Have you read anything about Orc Shaman and their beliefs? It completely contradicts your point. The Venture Co. certainly does whatever it wants to the environment and wants to destroy everything. But they are not the Horde nor do they represent the orcs that live under Thrall. You may be confusing them, that is ok, it is common for Night Elves to get confused about orcs, and well just confused in general.

See this is why we prefer to negotiate with our clubs. It's not that we are savages and can't, it's just easier to deal with racism by bonking them on the head than engaging in futile argument. Since the humans will pretend to argue then hit you from behind.

Finally a worthy replacement for Flintlocke. I will, however, forever miss the macro-licious adventures of Loping, the ninja looting Chinese gnome-bot. Pants!

I'm not sure how "Redeemed" the Orcs actually are. After all, they're basically treating Kalimdor like the European Settlers treated the Americas, complete with a Rhetoric about a manifest destiny that gives them the right to take over the "vast wildernesses" of Kalimdor in the name of the Horde, assimilating or destroy any native races that resist.

It’s bad enough when people cry that the orcs were “enslaved”, but now they’re outright re-writing history to convince themselves they are perfect?

At the risk of getting way too deep here in a hurry, I'd like to respond to this. I never enjoyed playing the orcs in WarCraft I or II, because I don't enjoy playing evil races. However, I found the orc storyline in Warcraft III extremely compelling because I believe in redemption (and I'm not even talking about religion here), and I think we need more stories about it in whatever medium. I really enjoyed playing an orc in WoW because they were about trying to get away from their old evil ways in a world where they had already screwed up their relationship with the indigenous people so badly that trust was going to be nigh impossible to come by. I don't see the modern Horde as "perfect" by any stretch of the imagination, but neither is the Alliance.

I’m glad to hear you have contempt for me. What a grand way to engage in a conversation.

I was actually referring to the comic artist. Your posting just ahead of me was an unhappy accident. Carry on!
