Take Your Web Reporter To Work Day

MMORPG.com was shown around our office the other day.

Don’t think they brought them by our den; we’re pretty boring in terms of decorations, aside from my festival of socialist realism (as seen below)

I keep trying to get my work to buy that chair you have…these chairs we have were formerly used by the Spanish Inquisition.

    heh, GW:EN? nice :)

  • http://www.cesspit.net Abalieno

One day I want you to explain that taste in socialism.

  • http://hgamer.blogspot.com Heartless_

    I spyz Guild Wars.

  • Scott Jennings

One day I want you to explain that taste in socialism.

    Nothing too complicated.

    1) Historical geek
    2) Leftist when young
    3) Outgrew 2) but retained the taste for the propaganda

  • Metta

    Hey Scott,

Have you ever been to Russia? I used to go to St. Petersburg a few times a year for work; it’s a beautiful and moving and sad city. I can’t describe what I felt standing in front of the Winter Palace, thinking about a population roused to overthrow their governors. It still has resonance, today. They did something that was righteous and good, and it was destroyed by madness.

  • Scott (Not Lum)

Hey look, books, on a shelf.

Lum, my boy, could you enlighten us with what other books you might have kicking around your shelves in relation to games, programming, design, counter-insurgency, Marxism, you know, whatever tickles your fancy these days?

  • Boanerges

I dunno what’s scarier: fascist propaganda on prominent display or when you mouse over the MMORPG link it has, as a related search, “russian brides”.

  • Baroo

I’m pretty sure if Lum was not on some government “watch list” before this entry… he is now!

  • Xanthippe

So you went from commie to running dog lackey of the bourgeoisie.

  • Kayn

Hey cool… a Chris Crawford book in your bookshelf…
