Ah, this reminds me of my Counselor days. I quit shortly after all this went down, I was pretty oblivious to it all. I was just there for the free account. But after hearing about it blown open, I realized what was going on.

I got some paperwork about the lawsuit in the mail, I never answered it, I didn’t care to get..whatever they think they were owed. Probably wasn’t enough to deal with all the crap I had to put up with.

It's amazing, looking back on this, how far PR and CS have come for MMO companies. I remember controversies like this were weekly events at LTM. In fact, I'd posit that the primary reason the LTM community never really recondensed long-term at any of the successor sites is the elimination of the daytime TV dramas that served as CS and the talk-radio hosts that ran the PR departments.

What were they thinking? GG Tweety.

This was a good one. My fav is the Taxi To Victory one log, which I'm still unable to read without laughing through.

I miss the little baby who used to on the blog header that really summed up this essay's meaning. Was like he was trying to fix the broken toy with those cogs...

I remember Senith. I'm still friends with GM Ironwill.

I'm the only one of my peers who didn't vanish completely or get a game industry job.

Well, OK, I guess Musashi's not completely vanished.

My first LtM was the GM Darwin thing.

...which I guess is sort of like a person saying they've been on the internet "since the day it was added to AOL", but as I've already typed that, and the only button down here is 'Submit', there's obviously nothing I can do to take it back now.

I recall four posts, a long time ago.

One was something like "bags of EXP", another was "Broken Toys", then there was "Game!", and I can't remember the fourth one. They used to be accessible through direct links on the sidebar, but they just sort of vanished one day.
