    Then I don’t need a jacket.

  • Merkwurdigliebe

    New internet meme.

  • http://ambernight.org Amber

Sounds like the fringe benefits of being a Tahiti weatherman more than compensate for the shitty salary.

  • http://ambernight.org Amber

    Er…Haitian.

  • Paks

    but I like my jacket… :(

  • Hatchetman

the downside being you are haitian…

  • VPellen

I’d love to hear an Australian weatherman (or woman) say this.

  • http://beafraid.com Hellfire

The Australian version is largely the same, I’d wager. Except for the anchorwoman being nearly/topless.

  • Baroo

… uh… what am I missing. Someone fill me in on the joke.

  • Merkwurdigliebe

I think WE are the joke. :)

It’s weird what “the Internet” will find “funney” but I think it’s a combo of the video being a little out of context, and the “hayseed” quality of the weatherman who is a foil to the female host.

  • kalain

    A) A bit of family guy in real life.
    B) The absurdity of that as a weather report, even if accurate
    C) The horrible cut back, pause, forced laugh thing.

  • Merkwurdigliebe

    What kalain said.

  • Please

So, kalain, basically not funny. Especially regarding A).

  • rbtroj

    @hatchetman

As a Haitian I would have said “the downside being you live in Haiti”. See, that way you’re insulting a government that is worthy of your derision, rather than making a somewhat racist remark against a people.

    But that’s just me. Peace.

  • blachawk

    I don’t get it.

What others are saying is forced laughing appears to me like he has a goofy laugh and is amused by some sort of inside joke.

  • Karolus

It sounds to me as if he is either stoned or drunk or both. The laugh at the end reinforces that impression. Funny in any case. :)
