Raph Koster Just Told Me I Made A Virtual World

No, really! Go check out the list of beta codes at his blog (I got mine from GigaOM) and he can tell YOU that too.

If they are interested in creating any kind of early spin on this I think they would benefit from better information. I managed to get some basic understanding what they are aiming for but it took some dedicated searching. A visible link both on the main page and Raphs page leading to some short text with pictures would have been nice, just to sell the idea and go look for more information. Any news media or blogs writing about it could then link to that to help the confused reader.

    Yay. I got my name.

Also: I love the new look to the site (RSS deprives me of such glorious transformations, but also … of horrible uglinesses)

Heh, neat. I’m sure you’ll come up with something interesting. Right? :-P

Saben: That’s probably true. Their site is not really final at the moment… but there is a limit way of getting to know what Metaplace actually is. It seems pretty spiffy though.

Yeah, I still have no idea what metaplace is really about nor is the available information really making me want to examine it further…

It’s really not that complicated. You could think of it as “everyone gets their own graphical mud on a website” if you want. As “everyone gets their own world on a webpage.” But with really easy to use tools (well, pretty easy now, and getting lots easier as we go).
