That said, I can also see this being a sort of Producers-style con-job where Derek Smart provides their Franz Liebkind role, and the rest of the QOL LLC fill the Max Bialystock role.

In fact the entire idea of even having HR as part of an efficient business model makes HR the very definition of idiocy.

Sounds like someone who has never had a real job at a real company, and certainly has never been in management. You realize that if you say the wrong things in an interview or when you fire someone you can get shut down by lawsuits (and/or the EEOC)? Keeping abreast of those stupid rules and protecting the company from them is something real that HR does. Keeping track of all those benefits and such that keep people wanting (or able) to come to work is part of it, too. Also not something to skip if you want to stay in business.

Sure, there’s stupid HR people but there’s stupid people at every level of any business. That doesn’t uniquely indict HR.

On topic, Derek Smart is hilarious. Glad he washed up somewhere that he can entertain us again (if you didn’t live through the BC:3000 debacle, you missed out).

I’m glad I live in a world where Derek Smart keeps getting jobs.It would be a flatter, duller world otherwise.  

I am considering subscribing (mind you, not playing) just to get entertainment flowing.

I don’t like someone as egotistical, but direct confrontation is better than many of the “we can get fired if we offend someone” public annoucements of so many other companies. Besides, this is way too lulzy.

Also, HR ARE idiots. Taking care that the precious Political Correctness isn’t broken isn’t a real job, is an annoyance.

Who are they? They hire and fire people. How do they do that? We workers tell them who and why and how. What do they do, again?

The three convicts: I say, off with their heads. There is no use for them anymore. For their future jobs they rather need muscles. Though one has to admit that its unfortunate that nature attached eyes to the head. I found them useful for watching TV which is an even more likely occupation. As accurate Mr. Smart is, he instructed all human resource people on the planet how to use that thing called
Google. It is very true that the ALGANON players deserve open and honest communication, all the eight of them. Terrific. Now, I wonder what Mr. Smart would have written about the janitor in case he would have quit the job? I say, off with his head, too.
