A reliable source has confirmed with GameSpot News that LucasArts and Verant Interactive are in the planning stages of building a new massively multiplayer universe based on the popular Star Wars: Episode I universe. Verant is best known for its work on the massively multiplayer titles Everquest and Tanarus.

So far, details are sketchy. As more information regarding the title comes to light, we’ll bring those details to you.
