Adar from our forums posted a most eloquent rebuttal to the teeming hordes of nerfed Clerics, worthy of highlighting here.
1)If you are not a cleric and not in an uberguild, please, for the love of God, shut up. You’ve been enhanced so many times recently- no matter which class you are- that ranting about nerfs is extremely hypocritical. (A special ‘WTF are you thinking?’ award goes to bards, for bitching that a 100 point AC boost isn’t what they REALLY wanted, and paladins, for bitching at *anything* after losing the XP penalty, getting the last cleric res, a defense cap boost, a discipline or two, and a viable superior heal IN TWO WEEKS.)
2)If you ARE a cleric, but below level 55, for God’s sake, please shut up. It’s not that you don’t have a valid point; you do. It’s that if you’re still below 55 now, you’re a)nowhere near uber, and b)never going to get to the point where these changes matter- ie, level 60 in SoV. (A special ‘READ THE PATCH MESSAGE AGAIN’ award goes to the numbskulls who think that healing people below 51 has changed in any way.)
3)If you’re a cleric above level 55, or in an uberguild, I admit that you may have a point worth thinking about; on the other hand, you could, you know, WAIT VERANT OUT and go solo most of Kunark with your 1000 AC, 200 Wis and 300 mana, ‘I only have 17 more heal spells than I did a year ago’ ubercleric.
So a few of the SoV mobs are now either unkillable or simply not fun to kill. (BTW, just how does that differ from, say, VP, where six hours of prep time per kill is par for the course?) Big fucking deal- that only leaves the other 99.9% of the game, which has its own challenges and which is now so much more fun to play it’s hilarious to see people bitch about it.
